The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office has plans to improve its facilities located on the West Campus at 150 South Highlander Way, Howell, Michigan. Built in 1972, the Administrative offices occupy approximately 21,500sf, of which only 14,500sf can be repurposed.

A space Needs Assessment identified the need for over 28,000sf. Two options were explored; a renovation and expansion of approximately 9,500sf, and a new facility of approximately 28,000sf using the adjacent parking lot in the Sheriff Department Complex.

Projected costs were developed for both options, with the renovation/expansion estimated at $10,500,000 and a new build at $12,500,000. The County received our report in January 2020.
