Professional Experience

Oakland County, CLEMIS Administrator (1998-2011) implemented a new mobile data system, 800 MHz county wide radio system, and served as County 911 Coordinator.

Lapeer County, Central Dispatch Director (1994-1998) Lapeer County. Consolidated all dispatch centers in the County, coordinated the construction of a Central Dispatch facility, implemented a new 800 MHz radio system, and implemented 911-service in the last county in the Lower Peninsula to have 911.

Oakland County Sheriff’s Department, 1975- 1994

  • 1975 – Dispatcher with the Oakland County Sheriff Dept in 1975 (same year Jimmy Hoffa disappeared and the first year of the Oakland County child killings)
  • 1978- Promoted to Shift Leader
  • 1982-County-wide 911 Planning Committee- Oakland County Representative. Oakland County began meetings to establish the first county-wide enhanced 911 system in Compiled the MSAG (Master Street Address Guide), an address and telephone number database for 911 routing for the county, coordinated equipment selection and installation, and dispatcher training prior to implementation.
  • 1989 – promoted to Communications Supervisor over entire unit
  • 1992 – Served as Departmental technical liaison during the transition to an 800 MHz radio system, including relocating the dispatch center from the Sheriff Department to a central location.
