| In the spring of 2003, the Charter Township of Grand Blanc, Michigan, commissioned the Design Team of Redstone Architects,Inc., and their consultant Beckett & Raeder, Inc., Planners and Landscape Architects, to prepare a two phased study for a Master Plan of the Grand Blanc Township Civic Center. Phase One of the study included: a Needs Assessment for a Town Hall, a Police Headquarters, a Department of Public Works facility and a Fire Station, a Building Condition analysis of the existing facilities; developing Planning Data, Phase Two of the study utilized the information developed in phase one to: identify potential sites for one or more of the proposed buildings, prepare conceptual civic center master plans for selected sites; develop costs associated with each concept. The Master Plan study provided the authorities of Grand Blanc Township with a tool that allowed them to decide the course of action for a new civic center. The report was accepted by the Township Board in January 2004. (2004) |
