Project Size: 61,000 sq.ft. | Flexibility of design was paramount to the success of our work with Schoolcraft College. The Student Services Building survived an unusually lengthy State of Michigan capital funding process, during which time the college's needs and the State's requirements changed. We were able to successfully redesign several key areas to accommodate these new demands. We provided a comprehensive computer visualization of the building placed on-site using photos of the campus merged with computer-generated 3-D views to allow the Board to envision the building situated on campus. This visualization process was later used successfully for public relations and fund-raising efforts. The building, consisting of brick, block, stone, and glass curtain wall construction was planned for maximum flexibility so that offices, student service areas and classrooms can be reconfigured as needed without adversely impacting other functions.
