Project Size: 64,000 sq.ft. | The explosion of youth involvement in fitness activites created tremendous pressure on school gymnasium usage. In the fall of 1997, the voters of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan passed a millage for several district project which included new auxiliary gymnasiums for three middle schools and two high schools. Redstone Architects, Inc. was selected to integrate the design of the new facilities with the existing schools. Redstone Architects, Inc. worked with the Construction Manager to identify the materials and systems required to meet the defined budget. Middle school gym additions measure approximately 12,000 square feet, while high school gyms were approximately 14,000 square feet. The construction was completely in the fall of 1999 of these five projects. (1999) |
