| Hubbell, Roth & Clark, Inc. on behalf of the City of Utica hired Redstone Architects, Inc. for a Municipal Needs Analysis. The assessment was to determine the space needs of the City of Utica's Municipal Departments including Administrative Offices, the Police Department, the Fire Department, the DPW department and the library. A visual building condition analysis was also conducted for the existing City Hall and Police Department. The city applied for and was designated a "Cool City" by the State of Michigan. Our study was conducted during the same time that the City was working with a consultant to develop ideas to improve the image and quality of life in Utica. We believe that public buildings should be part of the discussion of "Cool Cities," and would encourage interaction between the "Cool Cities" consultant and ourselves. (2006) |
